Food prep. This simple action will shake the weight off and keep it off, but it needs practice. The more conscious you are of planning out your meals for the week the easier it is to stay fit and clear-headed. When we don’t prep we are much more likely to reach for that sugar-loaded snack or panic eat if we go too long between meals.


2. Stick to the perimeter and farmers markets


A rule of thumb when hitting the grocery store is to always stick to the perimeter. The foods that aren’t packaged usually live here, like fresh fruits and vegetables. If you like to eat good, clean meats make sure to investigate where these meats come from. Are they free range, grass fed, antibiotic free? The farmers market is a great place to get your produce. A trip to your local farmer’s market can be a really fun weekend outing and it means you get to enjoy beautifully sourced foods from your own local community.
